GIRLS THAT RIDE BIKES PRESENTS

THE WILD WEEKEND

A WOMEN'S CYCLING & ADVENTURE FESTIVAL

16–18 JULY 2027 DORSET

MORE THAN A CYCLING FESTIVAL

A full weekend to ride bikes, try something new, slow down and spend time with hundreds of brilliant women.

Wild Weekender brings together road, gravel and mountain biking with yoga, Pilates, SUP, wood-fired sauna, inspiring talks, live music, great food and plenty of time to simply hang out.

Come with your riding crew or arrive on your own. Whether you're relatively new to cycling or have spent years on two wheels, there's a place for you here.

NEW FOR 2027

The Wild Weekender is moving to a beautiful new home at Hanford School, just along the river from our previous site.

Think beautiful grounds, maze gardens, hidden corners to discover and plenty of space to ride, relax and spend the weekend together. With running water, electricity and fantastic facilities on site, our new home gives us the opportunity to make the whole experience even better.

COME ON YOUR OWN. YOU WON'T BE ON YOUR OWN FOR LONG

Coming on your own? You definitely won’t be the only one. We’ll have dedicated solo camping and motorhome zones for anyone who’d like to pitch up alongside other riders looking to meet new people and make connections. On Friday evening, we’ll also be bringing everyone together with games, food and plenty of opportunities to break the ice before the weekend gets into full swing. Come on your own, find some friendly faces in the field and you might just leave with your next riding crew.

RIDES FOR ALL ABILITIES AND ADVENTURES FOR ALL DICIPLINES

However you like to ride, there’s something for you at Wild Weekender. Take on the trails at Okeford Hill Bike Park, with MTB rides and skills sessions to help build confidence and technique. Or head out on a gravel adventure all the way to the sea, alternatively enjoy a more relaxed ride along the North Dorset Trailway and former railway line, or discover some of Dorset’s most beautiful lanes on our road routes.

With different distances, disciplines and levels of challenge, you can choose the ride that feels right for you, whether you’re looking to push yourself or simply enjoy a brilliant day out on your bike.

WHAT ABOUT EBIKES?

E-bikes are very welcome at Wild Weekender. Join whichever route suits you, whether that’s gravel, road, MTB or a more relaxed spin. We’ll also have charging available at the festival, so we can help keep your battery topped up and ready for your next adventure.

RIDE YOUR WAY

Some rides will be guided, while others will give you the freedom to follow a GPX route at your own pace with our self guided options. We’ll make it clear which is which when the 2027 ride programme is released. You don’t need to be fast, experienced or have all the gear. We’ll have relaxed options designed for riders who want to take things at an easier pace, with plenty of encouragement along the way.

FOOD & DRINK

2 x Breakfast and 2 x Dinner tickets are included in your Wild Weekender ticket. A fully stocked bar will be available across the weekend. Dietary requirements will be catered for. For lunch our routes will pass a variety of brilliant cafés and food stops, all clearly marked on the route maps so you can stop wherever takes your fancy.

ACCESSIBILITY

We want Wild Weekender to be as welcoming and accessible as possible. For 2027, we’re hoping to expand our adaptive cycling options and provide more opportunities for riders with different access needs to get involved. Our new site will have an accessible shower block and toilet facilities, and we’re keen to do everything we reasonably can to make your weekend work for you. If you have specific access requirements, ideas that could help us improve, or you’d simply like to talk through what’s possible before booking, please get in touch, we’d really like to hear from you.
